PULLPROOF Studio is a membership-based workspace and artist collective for screenprinters. Our mission is to provide equipment, a dedicated space, and unconstrained time at an affordable cost to silkscreen artists in the Pittsburgh area, all while fostering an environment of mutual support. We are a fully equipped silkscreen printing facility with shared studio space and a small storefront gallery, located at 5112 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood.

What makes screenprinting cool or important? You’ll find the answers here in this exhibit. The works are unified through the medium itself – one that is vast in its potential function, aesthetic sensibility, and messaging. Our collective employs screenprinting though graphic design, postering, fine art, political messaging and dissemination, self publishing, textile and clothing application, and more. Between its DIY ethos, ease of production and distribution, and potential for social impact, screenprinting commands attention.

This exhibit features works by PULLPROOF members Charlie Barber, Matthew Constant, Max Gonzales, Christina Lee, Aaron Regal, Anna Shepperson, Harriet Smith, Matthew Van Asselt, and Laura Zurowski.
