Early Childhood Professional Development Workshops

Gateway to the Arts and its Western Pennsylvania Wolf Trap program offer a variety of hands-on, participatory professional development workshops throughout the year, specially designed for early childhood practitioners. Sessions in dance, music, drama, and visual arts are taught by professional teaching artists. Emphasis is on developmentally appropriate practice for children ages 3-5. All workshops align with Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Standards and the Core Knowledge Competencies for Early Childhood and School-Age Caregivers. Act 48 and PQAS credit hours available.

K-12 Professional Development

Professional development is a key component of our K12 programming. We create and deliver robust learning events designed specifically to meet the needs of the educational community being served. Our hands-on programs focus on arts integration, and provide teachers with innovative tools and techniques in order to increase their abilities to incorporate artistic practices into their own teaching style. Act 48 credit hours available.
