Mark Lucas is a contemporary jazz guitarist who has performed and/or recorded with Ron Carter, Richie Cole, Ledisi, Alex Bugnon and others. He was a student of Charlie Banacos and Mick Goodrick and has recorded two solo guitar CD’s: Myth and Feeling and Solo(s).

He is active in several groups in Pittsburgh:

• CrossCurrents — a quartet playing fusion and soul music.
• Travlin’ — a quintet that plays the music of Joni Mitchell, Burt Bacharach and Al Jarreau, along with modern jazz standards.
• Trio Music — a trio playing old and new jazz standards and original music.
• Duo Music — with vocalist Stacia Abbott.
