About Jordan Montgomery

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, rapper Jordan Montgomery is the founder and CEO of Driving While Black Records. Jordan's style has been compared to early 2000s rap artists such as Jay-Z, Cam'ron, and Kanye West. His songs have been praised for their lyrical content and social consciousness.

Jordan released his debut album Driving While Black in 2016. As Jordan began selling hats and shirts to promote the album, he noticed that people were buying the merchandise although they never heard his music. From that moment Jordan decided to create Driving While Black Records to reclaim the phrase as a means of self-empowerment and to create a brand and platform that uplifts Black artists.

Jordan has collaborated and graced stages with legendary acts such as Rakim, Chuck D, Anti-Flag, Tom Morello and X Clan. Jordan’s newest album Thank You For Your Purchase But We Are Not For $ale is now available on all major streaming services.

About Chandra Rhyme

The rise to the top was never supposed to be easy, so Chandra Rhyme is having as much fun as she can as she writes the chapters of her story. This Pittsburgh-based artist has built up a reputation as one of the city’s most captivating performers, bringing listeners into her multidimensional world. Inside of it, she crafts rhythmically backed pop and R&B-infused hiphop records with golden-era level lyricism and an electric feel. While she began her career as adancer, she would soon become known as one of the rising stars in the city’s underground music scene due to her magnetic personality, sultry voice, striking lyrics, and creative artistic direction. During her come-up, she has opened for notable musicians such as Warren G, and in 2019, she released her debut EP entitled “Goin’ Up,” under the rap name, Rhyme. Currently, Chandra is cultivating a fresh sound that mixes traditional songwriting with boundary-pushing production. With new music planned for release in 2021 and beyond, her road to success is destined for a prolific career.
