Patrick Breiner is a saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, and educator in Pittsburgh, PA. He assembled the Patrick Breiner Quintet in 2020 to present lesser played works by great Black American Composers like Joe Henderson, Kenny Dorham, Lee Morgan, and Jymie Merritt. The repertoire continues to expand as the group delves deeper into the intersections of groove, sonic exploration, and melodic interplay.

Patrick also operates Sulde Records and leads several projects, including Vartan Mamigonian (solo saxophone) and Double Double (free jazz quartet featuring two bassists).

Other collaborations include Battle Trance (New Amsterdam / NNA Tapes), VAX (self-released collaborative new/improvised musical performance trio), and Ballett im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, Germany with VAX (2016) and with Sons Of Daughters (2012).
