A presentation by Brian Eyerman and Lu Eyerman, Skyline Ink Animators + Illustrators
Creating 3D animation of unrealized designs is equally complex and rewarding, even more so when the work is based on designs by Frank Lloyd Wright. Brian Eyerman and Lu Eyerman of Skyline Ink Animators + Illustrators will chronicle the process of “building the unbuilt” using original architectural drawings and utilizing experts to breathe life into Wright's unrealized designs for 1940s Pittsburgh. They will discuss how they used architectural and animation software to create the room-size animation currently on view in the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s 820 Gallery. Free and open to the public, reception at 820 Gallery to follow.
Brian Eyerman is the founder and CEO of Skyline Ink. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture and brings more than 25 years of architectural and visualization industry experience to the studio. He began his career as an architectural intern and tempera artist at Fitzgerald + Associates and transitioned the firm to computer visualization. He then created Skyline Ink in 2000 to provide the only full-service architectural visualization studio in the area, one to assist architectural firms throughout Oklahoma City with the transition to digital visualization.
Today, Skyline Ink creates conceptual designs as well as photorealistic 3D renderings and animation for architecture firms, real estate marketing and advertising. Skyline clients have ranged from Walt Disney Imagineering and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater to GE and Marriott. Brian’s wide experience interpreting architect’s sketches and data informs his research and recreation of historic unbuilt and destroyed designs.
Lu Eyerman joined Skyline Ink in 2007 as Director of Communications where she collaborates to manage projects, communicate with clients, and coordinate the office’s promotional efforts. She also assists with research for Skyline’s architectural history projects and feels that the unbuilt or destroyed architecture designs the firm recreates is one of the most rewarding parts of her work.
