ETTA COX is originally from St. Joseph, Missouri. Her credits range from the Broadway stage to movies, television and night clubs. She has received numerous awards and honors for her jazz vocals, as well as being voted one of the “Most Powerful Women in Pittsburgh” and Performer of the Year by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.  

Ms. Cox has hosted and emceed the Ladies of Jazz at The Oaks in Oakmont for the past several years; an event that introduces audiences to upcoming and established jazz vocalists in the area. She and her band soon will be live streaming on “Oh! Jazz,” from Con Alma Restaurant and Jazz Bar. Ms. Cox also taught at the Pittsburgh C.A.P.A. school from 2007 through 2024.

Ms. Cox is a very proud member of Bidwell Presbyterian Church under the leadership of Rev. B. De Neice Welch.
