Part of the Re:New Festival.

Jacqueline Metheny (NY), creates artworks constructed from salvaged fabric, thread, yarn, and wire, exploring mass and assembly inspired by various systems in mathematics, microbiology, and genetics. Discarded clothes, towels, sheets, and other textiles are torn into strips or broken down for their thread or yarn, then built into solid sculptural forms, massing the material into a single work of art or components and modular systems that can be reassembled with endless possibilities.

Opening Reception: Friday, September 23, 5:30 - 9:00 pm during the Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District.

Wednesday, Thursday: 11am-6pm; Friday, Saturday: 11am-8pm; Sunday: 11am-5pm.
