Shadowland

The name “Pilobolus” is synonymous with inventive, groundbreaking work. In signature style, Pilobolus does it once again with the intimate and imaginative full-length work, Shadowland.

Possessing the fluidity of an unsettling dream, a young girl’s surreal world comes to life in this provocative dance drama. Shadowland transports audiences to her room in the thick of night, where the fantastical power of the dark and unleashes a fantasy world in unexpected and utterly thrilling ways. The first theatrical event of its kind, Shadowland is a dance hybrid spiked with shadow theater, a bawdy circus with bold visual elements. With Shadowland, Pilobolus exposes an offbeat coming of age story that is both dramatic and comedic.
