Keeping Pittsburgh Dope: Chancelor Humphrey on the Power of Social Media
- Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and Carnegie Mellon University
- Trust Arts Education Center
This event is a Core Conversation at the 2019 Pittsburgh Humanities Festival. See the full Core Conversation lineup here.
Chancelor Humphrey, creator of the popular Keep Pittsburgh Dope Instagram account, will be interviewed by Tracy Certo, Founder & Publisher of NEXTpittsburgh, regarding Humphrey’s work and stories from years spent spreading his personal verve and pushing the thriving culture that he sees developing in Pittsburgh.
Chancelor Humphrey created Keep Pittsburgh Dope in an effort to make a stamp on the city of Pittsburgh and to showcase the unique people in it. In addition to Humphrey's "life(style) photography" that initiated his Instagram popularity, Keep Pittsburgh Dope continues to grow--dabbling in product, creating campaigns for different brands and institutions, and spreading knowledge through panels and artist talks.
