Get ready to dance, laugh, and have a whole lot of fun! This high-energy, all-ages dance party features throwback favorites, today’s hits, and beloved children’s songs, along with interactive games, call-and-response, and easy-to-follow group dances. With plenty of opportunities to jump in and join the fun, this energetic experience is designed to get everyone moving, participating, and smiling!
Dance the Story: The Sleeping Beauty w/ PBT
Performer
Children ages pre-K to 5th grade and their families are invited to an exploration of dance and movement. Join us to learn basic ballet steps and movement concepts through the storyline and characters of The Sleeping Beauty. Caregivers are welcome to dance along with us! This program will feature a ballet story, introduction to ballet technique and displayed costumes from the performance help to bring the story to life.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is excited to welcome you for a morning of jazz! Children will engage with local talented musicians as they learn about the instruments, styles, and elements that make jazz music so unique. This musical performance, with story created by Anqwenique Wingfield and music and lyrics by Douglas Levine, presents children with a wonderful introduction to jazz led by professional musicians.
You and your students will begin the show with Grandma Rose as she reminisces about the good old days when she was a popular vocalist with a band of the finest musicians. Then through the magic of time travel she awakes to music being played by her old band! Now reunited, they sing the old songs that taught her all about jazz music. Songs that explore tempo, dynamics, melody, improvisation and more!
